ArcticDx Licenses exclusive rights to C3 genetic polymorphism from Cambridge Enterprise Limited.
April 1, 2008 — ArcticDx Inc. has taken an exclusive license to a critical genetic polymorphism related to the genetic diagnosis of Age-related Macular Degeneration. The licensor, Cambridge Enterprise Limited is wholly owned by the Chancellor, Masters and Scholars of the University of Cambridge. Their inventor, Dr. J. Yates and the University have assigned all of their intellectual property rights and the related 'Know how'.
The agreement provides rights in the field of medical molecular diagnostics, prognostics, risk profiling and companion diagnostics (pharmacogenomics). ArcticDx Inc. has included this marker in its proprietary test (Macula Risk™).
